Honestly, skincare is f*cking hard
Find skincare that works for you. In minutes, not years
We spoke to 836 people
Almost equal to people in two Boeing 747s. Yep those many ✌️
Here's what we learnt:
Skincare is BLOODY EXPENSIVE. So 97% of people read reviews, and watch hours and hours of Youtube and Instagram reels before buying (Also because you can't return the bad ones).
Yet, 2 out of 3 people have bought a product in the last 3 months alone that's either been a dud or worsened their skin or hair.
First, most reviews on e-com websites lack detail — who's using them, what's their skin tone, skin type, and what they really liked about the product.
Second, the claims! We keep falling for brand claims or what brands paid our favourite influencer to say (it's ok, we've all been there).
What if you had an app, where you could
See what's in a product AKA decode ingredients
Save products to Playlists and avoid impulse buying
Search products using ingredients and reviews, not claims
Get reviews from people who own the items on your Wishlist

Why Honestly?
🦦 Not e-commerce
We don't sell products, so our revenue doesn't depend on pushing you to buy more.
🧃 Not a beauty brand
We're not a beauty brand. We won't make you fill out skin tone and type questionnaires just to push our own products.
🥱 Not affiliated to any brands
Let's be clear: if you see a paid review hyping up a product, report it with a tap.

The Backstory
You know how those typical founder stories go? Their lives sucked. They had problems that no one could solve. One fine day, while they were crying on an aesthetic bench holding their pumpkin spiced lattes, an idea struck them. An idea that was not only going to solve their problem, but also CHANGE THE WORLD. Honestly, that didn't happen.
We're two fairly nerdy people who have had a knack for problem solving. The kind of people that see the sticker on the apple in the supermarket, the sticker that you have to flick from your fingers before you eat that apple, and our heads scream "there has to be a better way!"
Karishma has had her share of struggle with finding the right products for her, and when she discovered her friends shared this problem, she dove deeper. Only to realise that r/IndianSkincareAddicts on Reddit had the same problem and so did r/SkincareAddiction. Basically, universally, buying skincare that's right for you was a pain in the 🍑.
So, honestly, that's why Honestly.
